Sara Novic
Sara Nović (born 1987) is an American writer, translator, professor, and deaf rights activist known for her novels *Girl at War* (2015), a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize, and the New York Times bestseller *True Biz* (2022), set in a school for the deaf.[1][4][6] She holds an MFA from Columbia University, serves as fiction editor at Blunderbuss Magazine and founding editor of the deaf rights blog Redeafined, and teaches creative writing and Deaf studies at Emerson College and Stockton University.[1][2][4] Nović lives in Philadelphia with her family.[3][4]
