Sara Asheron

Sara Asheron is the pseudonym used by Lilian Moore, an editor, educator, poet, and author who played a significant role in children's literature during the mid-to-late 20th century. As the first editor of Scholastic’s Arrow Book Club from 1957 to 1967, she made quality paperback books accessible to elementary school children across the United States. Under the name Sara Asheron, she published easy-reader books, including the popular title Little Popcorn, contributing to the Wonder Books Easy Reader series.
