Sandra Kitt
Sandra Kitt is an African-American author born June 11, 1947, in New York City who became a trailblazer in the romance genre[2]. She was the first African American to publish with Harlequin, with her debut novel Rites of Spring selling 500,000 copies in 1984[2].
