Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an English poet, literary critic, philosopher, and theologian, a founder of the Romantic Movement alongside William Wordsworth, known for poems like 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' and 'Kubla Khan,' and his influential prose work 'Biographia Literaria.' Born the youngest of ten children in a clergyman's family in Ottery St Mary, Devon, he attended Christ's Hospital and Jesus College, Cambridge, but struggled with opium addiction and health issues later in life.[1][2][3]
