Samuel R Delany

Samuel R. Delany is an American science-fiction novelist, critic, memoirist, and essayist known for works that explore language, sexuality, race, gender, and society. Born in New York City, he published his first novel, The Jewels of Aptor, in 1962 and went on to win multiple Nebula and Hugo Awards, becoming a major figure in speculative fiction.
