Samuel Clarke

Samuel Clarke was an English philosopher and theologian, known for his work in natural philosophy, metaphysics, and rational theology. He is best remembered for his correspondence with Gottfried Leibniz, often called the Leibniz–Clarke correspondence, and for his influential book 'A Demonstration of the Being and Attributes of God' (1705). Clarke was a leading figure of the intellectual movement sometimes known as English physico-theology.
