Samantha C. Helmick

Samantha C. Helmick is a librarian, author, editor, and international speaker who holds a Master's in Library and Information Science and a Master's in Community Informatics. She has authored books such as 'Mobile Social Marketing in Libraries' and has worked in various library roles, including UX & Outreach Librarian at Burlington Public Library in Iowa and Community and Access Services Coordinator at Iowa City Public Library. Notably, under the name Sam Helmick (they/them), she serves as the 2025-2026 President of the American Library Association.
