Sally Grindley
Sally Grindley, born January 23, 1953, in Woolwich, Kent, England, is a prolific British children's author with over ninety books to her credit, including picture books, beginning readers, and novels like Spilled Water, which won a Smarties Gold Medal. She began her career as an editor for Books for Children book club in the late 1970s, published her first book Knock, Knock, Who's There? in 1985, and became a full-time freelance writer in 1995 after working part-time for a decade. Now living in Cheltenham or Cirencester, Gloucestershire, she draws inspiration from her family, wildlife, and everyday observations.
