S A Bodeen

S. A. Bodeen is an American author of young adult science fiction and children's picture books, best known for her novels The Compound and The Gardener, as well as the award-winning picture book Elizabeti's Doll. Raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania, an experience that inspired her early picture books about a young Tanzanian girl named Elizabeti. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and frequently conducts school visits worldwide.
