Russell L Dicks
Russell L. Dicks was a pioneering chaplain and author in the field of clinical pastoral education and hospital ministry. He became the first full-time chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in 1933, making significant contributions to the development of chaplaincy in general hospitals. Dicks authored books such as 'The Ministry of Listening,' 'Who is my patient?,' and 'Principles and practices of pastoral care,' and co-authored 'The Art of Ministering to the Sick.'
