Russell Braddon

Russell Reading Braddon (25 January 1921 – 20 March 1995) was an Australian writer known for novels, biographies, histories, TV scripts, and newspaper articles[1][9]. His prisoner-of-war chronicle The Naked Island sold over a million copies and became his most acclaimed work[1][7]. He lived in Britain from 1949 to 1993 before returning to Australia, where he died in Urunga, New South Wales[1][7].
