Russell B. Shaw
Russell B. Shaw was a prominent Catholic journalist, author, and association executive who wrote over twenty books on Catholicism, education, philosophy, and politics, including his debut novel *The Dark Disciple* in 1961. He held key roles such as director of media relations for the National Conference of Catholic Bishops/United States Catholic Conference for 18 years and later for the Knights of Columbus from 1987 to 1997. Shaw, a Georgetown University graduate with degrees in 1956 and 1960, contributed columns and articles until his death on January 6, 2025, at age 90.[1][2][3][5]
