Rumer Godden
Margaret Rumer Godden (1907–1998) was a British author who wrote over 60 fiction and non-fiction books, many reflecting her childhood experiences in colonial India. Her notable works include Black Narcissus and The River, both adapted into films, and she is also celebrated for her children's literature such as The Doll's House.
