Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) is a scientific research institute and botanic garden founded in 1670 as a physic garden by Robert Sibbald and Andrew Balfour to grow medicinal plants near Holyrood Palace. It now spans four sites across Scotland—Edinburgh, Dawyck, Logan, and Benmore—with over 13,000 plant species in its living collection and 3 million preserved herbarium specimens, serving as a global center for plant diversity, conservation, horticulture, and education.[1][2]
