Roy Webb
Roy Webb (1888-1982) was a prolific American film composer who worked primarily at RKO Pictures from 1933 to 1955, succeeding Max Steiner as music director. He scored over 300 films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946), Bringing Up Baby (1938), and his final feature Teacher's Pet (1958), before retiring after a house fire in 1961. A painter and Broadway orchestrator, he also contributed to television like Wagon Train and was involved in early summer theater.
