Ross Burns

Ross Burns is an Australian author and former diplomat who served as Ambassador to Damascus and held various Middle Eastern assignments during his 37-year career in the Australian Foreign Service. After retiring in 2003, he completed a PhD at Macquarie University and became a renowned scholar on the archaeology and history of Syria, publishing acclaimed works such as 'Damascus: A History' and 'Monuments of Syria'.
