Rosemary Wells
Rosemary Wells is an acclaimed American author and illustrator of children's books, known for using animal characters like Max & Ruby and Timothy to address real human issues. Born in New York City in 1943, she grew up on the New Jersey shore to a playwright father and ballet dancer mother who encouraged her artistic talents from age two. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, she has published over 120 books across genres including realistic fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, and mysteries.[1][2][3][5]
