Roos van Oosten
Dr. Roos van Oosten is a universitair docent (assistant professor) in urban and medieval archaeology at Leiden University's Faculty of Archaeology. She studied history specializing in the Middle Ages and archaeology at Leiden University, and completed her PhD in history at the University of Groningen in 2011 with a dissertation on medieval urban sanitation titled 'De stad, het vuil en de beerput.' Her research focuses on socio-economic topics such as sanitation management and the history of public health in medieval contexts.
