Ronald N. Giere
Ronald Giere (1938–2020) was an American philosopher of science and emeritus professor of philosophy at the University of Minnesota, previously teaching at Indiana University.[1][3] He was a Fellow of the AAAS, past president of the Philosophy of Science Association, and focused his research on agent-based models, scientific representation, perspectival realism, naturalism, and secularism.[1] Notable works include *Explaining Science: A Cognitive Approach*, *Science Without Laws*, and *Scientific Perspectivism*.[1][3]
