Ronald Maier

Ronald V. Maier, MD, FACS, is a renowned trauma surgeon and professor of surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, where he holds the Jane and Donald D. Trunkey Endowed Chair in Trauma Surgery and serves as vice-chairman of the Department of Surgery. He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and has over 44 years of practice specializing in trauma surgery and surgical critical care, affiliated with Harborview Medical Center. In 2018, he was installed as the 99th President of the American College of Surgeons.
