Ronald Johnson
Ronald Johnson (1935–1998) was an American poet born in Ashland, Kansas, known for experimental long poems including *The Book of the Green Man*, *RADI OS* (an erasure of Milton's *Paradise Lost*), and his magnum opus *ARK*. After graduating from Columbia University in 1960, he traveled extensively in Appalachia and the UK before settling in San Francisco for 25 years, working as a chef and authoring cookbooks, then returning to Topeka, Kansas, where he died.[1][2][3]
