Ronald J Sider

Ronald James Sider (September 17, 1939 – July 27, 2022) was a Canadian-born American theologian, social activist, and ordained Mennonite minister who founded Evangelicals for Social Action and urged evangelicals to embrace social justice and care for the poor[5][8]. He authored over 40 books, most notably the influential 1977 work Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger, which was listed among the 100 most influential religious books of the 20th century[1][3]. Sider served as a distinguished professor at Palmer Theological Seminary for nearly 45 years and was a key pioneer of the transformational mission movement, emphasizing holistic Christianity that addresses both soul and society[2][5].
