Ron Roy, born Wallace Ronald Roy on April 29, 1940, in Hartford, Connecticut, is an American author of children's mystery fiction, best known for series like A to Z Mysteries (1997), Capital Mysteries (2001), and Calendar Mysteries (2009). After earning a BA in English from the University of Connecticut and a master's in early childhood education from the University of Hartford, he taught fourth grade for ten years before becoming a full-time writer in 1978 following the sale of his first book.[1][5][7]
