Ron A. Thompson

Ron Thompson grew up on the Canadian prairies in Saskatchewan and pursued a diverse career as a naval officer, development worker in southern Africa, civil servant, economist, investment banker, and consultant. A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, University of Toronto, London School of Economics, and Humber School for Writers, he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst based in Toronto, Ontario. His novels include the satiric *A Person of Letters* (2015), *Poplar Lake* (2018), and the historical novel *The Wind From All Directions* (2024), set in the Pacific Northwest in 1792.
