Roger Wiens

Roger Wiens is a planetary scientist, professor of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University, and a Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory.[1][2][3][5] He led the development of the ChemCam instrument on the Mars Curiosity rover and serves as Principal Investigator for the SuperCam instrument on the Perseverance rover, along with contributions to SHERLOC and NASA's Genesis mission.[2][3][4] Wiens authored the book *Red Rover: Inside the Story of Robotic Space Exploration* and graduated from Wheaton College in 1982.[3][4][6]
