Roger Wagner
Roger Wagner (born 1957) is an English artist, poet, and illustrator known for merging Renaissance influences, English landscape, poetry, and Christian biblical themes in his work.[1][2] He studied English Literature at Lincoln College, Oxford (1975-78), and art at the Royal Academy Schools under Peter Greenham (1978-81), later teaching at the Ruskin School of Art.[1][3][6] Wagner has published poetry collections like *Fire Sonnets* (1984) and *The Book of Praises* (psalm translations), co-authored *The Penultimate Curiosity* (2019), and his paintings are held in collections including the Ashmolean Museum.[2][4][6]
