Roger Schank

Roger Schank (1946–2023) was an American artificial intelligence theorist, cognitive psychologist, learning scientist, and author known for pioneering conceptual dependency theory and case-based reasoning. He later became a leading figure in educational reform and founded several learning-sciences organizations and companies, including Northwestern University’s Institute for the Learning Sciences.
