Roger Lancelyn Green
Roger Lancelyn Green (1918-1987) was a British biographer, children's writer, and Oxford academic who made classic fantasy stories accessible to new generations of readers. He was a member of the Inklings literary group and studied under C.S. Lewis, whom he influenced to publish The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. His scholarly work included biographies of J.M. Barrie, Andrew Lang, and C.S. Lewis, as well as editions of works by Hans Christian Andersen and Lewis Carroll.
