Robert Ludlum

Robert Ludlum (1927–2001) was an American author renowned for his spy thrillers and conspiracy novels, best known as the creator of the Jason Bourne character from The Bourne Trilogy. Before writing, he worked as an actor, theater producer, and television performer, publishing 27 novels under his name and pseudonyms like Jonathan Ryder and Michael Shepherd. His books, with 300–500 million copies in print across 33 languages, feature fast-paced plots of international espionage despite mixed critical reception.[1][2]
