Robert J. Behnke

Robert J. Behnke (1929–2013) was an American fisheries biologist, conservationist, and professor best known as a leading authority on salmonid fishes, especially trout. Often called "Dr. Trout," he wrote extensively on fish taxonomy and conservation, including the seminal book "Trout and Salmon of North America."
