Robert Holdstock

Robert Holdstock (1948-2009) was a British author renowned for his fantasy works, particularly the Mythago Wood series, starting with the World Fantasy Award-winning novel Mythago Wood (1984). He held an MSc in Medical Zoology, worked in medical research in the early 1970s, and transitioned to full-time writing in 1976, producing science fiction early in his career before focusing on fantasy.[2][4]
