Robert Burnham
Robert Burnham Jr. (1931-1993) was an American astronomer best known for writing the classic three-volume Burnham's Celestial Handbook, a comprehensive guide covering the science and mythology of all 88 constellations. A self-trained amateur astronomer from Prescott, Arizona, he discovered numerous asteroids and six comets, and spent 21 years at Lowell Observatory conducting astronomical research and photography.
