Robert Bartlett
Robert John Bartlett, born November 27, 1950, in Streatham, London, is an English historian and medievalist specializing in medieval colonialism, the cult of saints, and England from the 11th to 14th centuries. He served as Bishop Wardlaw Professor of Mediaeval History at the University of St Andrews, with notable works including the Wolfson Prize-winning *The Making of Europe: Conquest, Colonization and Cultural Change, 950-1350*, and BBC series like *Inside the Medieval Mind* and *The Normans*.
