Richard Platt
Richard Platt (born 15 April 1953) is a British author specializing in nonfiction and information books for children, with over 100 titles published since 1983 by publishers like Dorling Kindersley, Oxford University Press, and Walker Books. He began his career writing about photography before collaborating with illustrator Stephen Biesty on the successful 'Cross-Sections' series and authoring Eyewitness books on topics like castles, pirates, and film. His works have won awards including the Kate Greenaway Medal and Silver Nestlé Smarties Book Prize.
