Richard Palmer Blackmur

Richard Palmer Blackmur (1904–1965) was an American literary critic, poet, and playwright, and a founding figure of the New Criticism movement in the United States. He was largely self-educated, later teaching writing and literature at Princeton University, where he became one of the university's distinguished professors.
