Richard Matheson was a renowned American novelist, short-story writer, and screenwriter celebrated for transforming supernatural fiction by blending horror, science fiction, and fantasy with everyday life. Born in 1926 in Allendale, New Jersey, he is best known for his iconic works 'I Am Legend' and 'The Incredible Shrinking Man,' as well as his influential screenwriting for 'The Twilight Zone' and 'Duel.'
