Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson (baptized May 24, 1573, London—died c. 1659) was an English author known for popular romances and ballads. His most famous work is 'The Most Famous History of the Seaven Champions of Christendome' (1596-1597), with later additions, alongside others like 'Nine Worthies of London' (1592) and 'The Crowne Garland of Golden Roses' (1612).[1][2]
