Richard Harrington
Richard Harrington (1911-2005) was a Canadian photographer best known for his iconic photographs of the Canadian Arctic taken between 1948 and 1953, including documentation of the 1950 Caribou Inuit famine. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he immigrated to Canada in the mid-1920s and became renowned for his visual documentation of Arctic life and indigenous communities.
