Richard Goodman
Richard Goodman is an American author known for his memoir French Dirt: The Story of a Garden in the South of France, as well as The Soul of Creative Writing, A New York Memoir, and The Bicycle Diaries: One New Yorker's Journey Through 9/11. He has contributed essays to publications including The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Harvard Review, and Creative Nonfiction, and co-edited The Gulf South: An Anthology of Environmental Writing. Formerly a teacher in MFA programs at Spalding University and the University of New Orleans, he now lives in rural Louisiana and writes a newsletter on Substack.
