Richard Fardon
Richard Fardon is a British social anthropologist and Emeritus Professor of West African Anthropology at SOAS, University of London, specializing in fieldwork in Nigeria and Cameroon. He has authored or edited over two dozen books and numerous essays on topics including politics, religion, identity, and intellectual history in West Africa. Fardon is also known for his intellectual biography of Mary Douglas.
