Richard Ludlow English is a Northern Irish historian, political scientist, and author born in Belfast in 1963. He is known for his scholarship on Irish politics, nationalism, political violence, and terrorism, and has written books including 'Armed Struggle: The History of the IRA' and 'Irish Freedom: The History of Nationalism in Ireland.'
