Richard Barron
Richard Barron (Lama Chökyi Nyima) is a Canadian translator specializing in the writings of Longchenpa, a key figure in Tibetan Buddhism. He has served as an interpreter for lamas from all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, including his first teacher Kalu Rinpoche, completed a traditional three-year retreat in 1980 at Kagyu Ling in France, and became a close student of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. Currently, he is translating the Seven Treasuries of Longchenpa and has been a Tsadra Foundation fellow since 2000.[1][3]
