Richard A. Rettig

Richard A. Rettig, Ph.D. (1937-2024) was a social scientist and author known for his authoritative history 'Cancer Crusade: The Story of the National Cancer Act of 1971,' published by Princeton University Press in 1977. He served as an adjunct senior social scientist at the RAND Corporation's Washington office and contributed significantly to health policy research. Born in Seattle and raised in Bothell, Washington, he passed away on August 7, 2024, at age 87.
