Richard A. Matthew

Richard A. Matthew is a professor of urban planning and public policy at the University of California, Irvine, where he has also directed the Blum Center for Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development. His research focuses on the environmental dimensions of conflict and peacebuilding, climate change adaptation in conflict and post-conflict societies, and related issues such as migration, disaster risk, and sustainability, with extensive fieldwork in Africa and South Asia.
