René J Francillon

René J. Francillon (1937-2018) was an award-winning aviation writer of French-American heritage, born in Italy and raised in France. He authored 58 aviation books, edited or contributed to 20 others, and wrote over 400 aerospace articles covering civil and military aircraft, the aerospace industry, airlines, and airports. He worked for major banks, aircraft manufacturers, and engineering companies between 1961 and 1986.
