Rebecca Bond

Rebecca Bond was an American author-illustrator and designer who created 10 picture books for young readers, including Just Like a Baby, In the Belly of an Ox (an ALA Notable Children's Book), Out of the Woods: A True Story of an Unforgettable Event, and Escape from Baxter's Barn. Raised in the small town of Peacham, Vermont, she graduated from Brown University and worked as a senior designer at HMH Books for Young Readers from 2008 until her death. She passed away on August 2, 2017, at the age of 45 after a brief illness.[1][2][3][5]
