Raymond A Serway

Raymond A. Serway is an American physicist, professor emeritus at James Madison University, and a renowned author of introductory physics textbooks such as College Physics and Physics for Scientists and Engineers. He received his doctorate from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has published over 40 research papers in condensed matter physics. Serway passed away on July 25, 2025, at his home in Ashburn, Virginia.
