Ray L. Smith

Ray L. Smith is a highly decorated retired United States Marine Corps major general and author known for his eyewitness account of the 2003 Iraq War march from Kuwait to Baghdad. He received the Navy Cross for heroic actions during the Vietnam War and co-authored the book The March Up: Taking Baghdad with the 1st Marine Division with Bing West.
