Ramdas Pai

Dr. Ramdas Madhav Pai (born September 17, 1935) is an Indian health administrator, Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), and chairman of the Manipal Education and Medical Group. An alumnus of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, with a postgraduate degree in Hospital Administration from Temple University, Philadelphia, USA, he began his career in 1961 as administrator of Kasturba Hospital and expanded his father Dr. T.M.A. Pai's legacy by establishing MAHE as a deemed university in 1993 and numerous institutions across India, Nepal, and beyond. Awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2011, he has transformed education and healthcare, nurturing over 200,000 students globally.
