Ram Dass
Ram Dass, born Richard Alpert, was an American spiritual teacher, psychologist, and author best known for his book 'Be Here Now' and his work as a pioneer in the Western exploration of Eastern spirituality. He was a Harvard professor before traveling to India, where he became a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba and returned to share teachings on consciousness and mindfulness. His life and writings deeply influenced the New Age movement and popularized concepts of being present and integrating spiritual practice into daily life.
